Nguyen Xuan Phuc (PM of Vietnam) approved the plan leading to the introduction of digital currencies (such as Bitcoin) as official currencies.

The prime minister ordered the Central Bank, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Public Safety to work out the legal framework of virtual currencies.

The process is expected to be finished by August 2018.
